I agree about 'surgical shots', particularly NOT going for them at long pistol ranges.

I own both full sized and subcompacts of the same make and model firearm (Beretta PX4), and the full size is most definitely more accurate. And yes, that is primarily due to the increased sight radius. However, at 10 yds, if you were held hostage, I'm pretty confident I could take the headshot with my Px4 SC in SA mode, as long as I had tactical surprise. If I didn't, then I wouldn't shoot at him with a hostage unless I was point-blank.
